Great question! Fermented dairy products like kefir, Greek yoghurt, Yakult, and L. Reuteri are generally considered beneficial and are not known to directly interfere with prednisone absorption or its effectiveness.

These foods are actually encouraged as part of a balanced diet for people with CAH, as they provide:

- Calcium – important because prednisone can reduce calcium absorption and weaken bones over time
- Protein – helps counter the muscle-weakening effects that steroids can cause
- Probiotics – may support gut health, which can be affected by long-term steroid use That said, timing can matter. Taking prednisone with food (including dairy) can actually help reduce stomach upset, which is a common side effect.

Since you're managing classic CAH with both prednisone and florinef long-term, it's always worth checking with your endocrinologist about any dietary additions — just to make sure everything works well together for your specific situation. They know your full picture best!
