Trying to conceive with CAH while managing androgen levels can feel like a balancing act — and it sounds like you're doing the right things by staying on top of it!

When androgens are still spiking between doses, it could mean the timing or dosage of your glucocorticoids needs some fine-tuning. This is actually quite common, especially when trying to conceive. A few things worth discussing with your endocrinologist:

- Dose timing — the gap between your 8am and 4pm doses may be allowing androgens to rise in between. A smaller, additional dose mid-gap could help
- Dose adjustment — your doctor may consider redistributing your total daily dose differently
- Crinecerfont (Crenessity) — a newer FDA-approved medication that can help lower androgen levels, potentially allowing lower glucocorticoid doses while keeping androgens controlled
- Fertility specialist referral — working alongside a fertility specialist alongside your endocrinologist can really improve your chances of conceiving Never adjust your doses on your own though — too little cortisol can trigger an adrenal crisis, which is serious. Always work with your healthcare team to find the right balance for your body and your conception journey. 💛
